Rebecca's Revival

Prologue: Tweets of Inspiration

Picture
For the past few weeks it's been me and my Blackberry! My Blackberry Twitter app and I have been best buds. These are the tweets I used as inspiration for my Twitterive. Although, you may not see a definite connection to the actual narrative, they were the inspiration for my content. Enjoy!

why is it that men always have a different description of what REALLY happened? #twitterive

husbands annoy me-they think they have it so hard, but they have no idea. do they think the "grocery fairy" put those in there?? #twitterive

A young, scared future daddy reads about his new endeavour! What is he nuts?!?!#twitterive

The Repetend and Where it Begins

My twitterive began while sitting at jury duty in the beautiful city of Camden, New Jersey. I saw a young man sitting across from me with a book in his hands titled, The Expectant Father. Other tweets followed from different places, but somehow they all connected to one solid idea. Men do not think the same way women do, at all!

In fact, they are from two totally different worlds and different states of mind. So, then Told From a Penis Perspective emerged onto a blog post as an idea for my Twitterive. It was such an interesting task to think like a man and write from a man's perspective. But, it lacked something! It lacked a female perspective, or just another perspective in general. Two people can be at the same place, at the same time, and they have very different perspectives on what happened.

So, this is where part two of Twitterive (yet to be titled) evolved. This multi-modal narrative is shown through the eyes of a husband and a wife on the road to conception. I showed both perspectives through their respective journal entries along the way and mixed in some third person narrative and dialogue to show their dual perspectives.
